Welcome,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Thanksgiving will soon be upon us. I am beginning to gather all of my ingredients for our small feast. How about you, do you have everything done yet? It seems our lives are lived so fast, each of one of us has some list of things to do everyday. It has become more difficult to take time out of our day to just lazy around.
As this is the very first publication of "The Magnolia Walker", there may be a few gaps here and there in it. However, I promise you it will improve and become one newsletter that you can not wait to open. So I ask that you stay and grow with me.
Sincerely,
Janet Bullard

Quote of the Day:
"The little child whispered, "God, speak to me." And a meadowlark sang. But the child did not hear. So the child yelled, "God, speak to me!" And the thunder rolled across the sky. But the child did not listen. The child looked around and said, "God let me see you." And a star shone brightly But the child did not notice. And the child shouted, "God show me a miracle!" And a life was born. But the child did not know. So the child cried out in despair, "Touch me God, and let me know you are here!" Whereupon God reached down and touched the child. But the child brushed the butterfly away and walked away unknowingly. Take time to listen. Often times, the things we seek are right underneath our noses. Don't miss out on your blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect."

Where Will You Be?
© 2002 Kevin Bidwell
You are exactly where you have chosen to be.
Now, before you jump down my throat with tales of tragedy or catastrophe over which you had no control, let me explain: While there are always events and circumstances that are beyond our control, we still choose our response to those events. You see, no one else, no other events, can control our response. It's all up to us.
In 1 year, 5 years, 10 years and on your death bed, your life will have been determined by a bundle of small, daily choices. Some people will choose to pursue their dreams and, slowly, they will see those dreams unfold in their lives.
Some people will give up at the first adversity.
Some people will choose to work on their relationships and
will end up with a wealth of friends and love.
Some will choose to separate themselves.
Our future is determined by the choices that we make today.
Starting a business is one of the most difficult endeavors
anyone can engage in. It takes perseverance, wisdom, growth and sweat. You might be feeling the strain right now.
But I don't want you to focus on the work you are doing right
now. I want you to focus on how the choice you make today to persevere will affect your life...
...when your son graduates from college.
...when you provide a job for someone else.
...when you retire and travel with your spouse.
Think about the look of joy on your daughter's face as she
thanks you for the perfect wedding, your parents as you
present them with those cruise tickets on their 50th, the
joy you will experience when you have the time, money and
life freedom to pursue the things you were DESIGNED to do
rather than working for a paycheck.
Focus on these things, I think it will help you work through
the "junk" today.

COMMENT TAGS
HTML can be a tricky thing. It can also be a very
disorganised thing. Sometimes there can be so much
code involved, you will not know where everything is
even though you made the site yourself! HTML is
definitely one of the most disorganised languages in the
computer world. This is why the following tip can really
save your hide.
When you are writing large amounts (or even small
amounts for that matter) you generally want to keep
things understandable. Which is done with proper
formatting of your tags. But this can only go so far.
The best way to keep track of our code is to use
"comment" code. You can place this code anywhere on
your pages, and it will not be visible on your site. It will
stay hidden from your visitors, but will allow you to keep
everything together.
An example of this code is:
.
Place that tag anywhere in your pages and it will not show.
You could also use this code as a way to mark things:
See how that works? Comment tags will make your coding
life so much easier.

CONTROLLING THE ONSLAUGHTER OF STAINS
Baby Formula
Clothes
For fresh stains, rinse in lukewarm warm, then launder according to directions. Use a liquid stain remover if necessary. For dry stains, soak in enzyme detergent (such as Biz, Era Plus, Tide, or Wisk). Caution: Never use enzyme detergents with wool or silk. They’ll eat right through the fabric.
Note: Do not allow stain to set.
Grass
Canvas Shoes
Scrub stain with a nailbrush, using a mixture of dishwashing liquid and warm water. Remove caked-on mud or dirt, then wash shoes in the washing machine. Air-dry.
Non-Chemical Household Cleaners
All-Purpose Cleaner/Disinfectant:
1/2 cup borax
1 gallon water
Mix thoroughly. Can be used as out of a spray bottle or directly from the bucket applied to a sponge.
Carpet Cleaner:
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons dish soap
1 quart warm water
Mix in a spray bottle. Saturate the stain thoroughly. Using a clean, white cloth, lightly rub the stain. Blot with clean dry cloth. Repeat until the stain is gone. Let the area dry then vacuum. Some tough stains may need two treatments. This works very well on pet stains, fruit drink spills, grease, and many other stains. Be sure to test a hidden area to make sure the colors in your carpet won't run or fade.
Ceramic Tile Cleaner:
1/2 cup white vinegar
1 gallon water
May be used out of a spray bottle or directly from a bucket with a sponge.
Furniture Polish:
2 parts olive or vegetable oil
1 part lemon juice
Mix well. Apply to furniture and wipe with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Mildew Remover:
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup borax
1 quart warm water
Mix in a spray bottle. Spray on mildew stains. Let set for a few minutes and wipe away. The area will be clean and disinfected.
Scouring Powder:
Baking Powder or table salt make excellent, non-abrasive scouring powders.
Toilet Bowl Cleaner:
1 1/2 cup baking soda
2 cups white vinegar
Pour both into the toilet bowl. Use the toilet brush to scrub the bowl. Let set for several hours or overnight. Flush and your bowl will be clean!
Window Cleaner:
2 teaspoons white vinegar
1 quart warm water
Mix in a spray bottle. Use as you would a commercial cleaner.
Window Cleaner:
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 quarts warm water
Mix in a spray bottle. Use as you would a commercial cleaner.

GUEST ARTICLE: 4 Ways To Reduce Stress Now!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4 Ways To Reduce Stress Now!
By Kathy Gates, Professional Life Coach
www.reallifecoach.com
1. Finish What You Start.
Do complete work. Get it over with. Whatever you
call it, it all means the same thing. A huge cause of
stress in your life is unfinished things that come back
to haunt you.from putting away the laundry as soon
as it's dry, a home-improvement project that you
stated and didn't finish. Other examples are a gift
you feel guilty about not sending, a conversation you
need to have with someone, returning something your
borrowed, settling old debts, gym memberships not
used. Start a new habit of finishing (one way or
another) anything you start. Finishing things can
come in 2 ways: 1. actually taking physical action to
finish it; such as returning a borrowed item; or 2.
declaring an end to it, and going on to something else
(such as calling an end to a low-carb diet instead of
just feeling guilty every time you eat a carrot).
2. Don't Continue A Mistake.
Another cause of stress is living with something you
know is an error in judgment. Did you get locked
into a mortgage that's too high and it straps your
budget each month? Do you have marriage problems
that need counseling? Be willing to be honest with
yourself and with other people. Do you have a goal
that just no longer excites you, but you're afraid to
admit it to other people? Be honest. Be authentic.
Otherwise you'll spend all your time and energy and
trying to manage conversations so that people don't
ask you certain questions, or talk about certain things.
Admit the mistake, make restitution if necessary,
forgive yourself, and move to the freer side of life.
It's freeing. It's purifying.
3. Always Have More Than You Need.
No, I'm not talking just about money, but that is one
reserve that research has shown to help reduce stress.
But having more than you need in time, in energy, in
space, in opportunities, in love, in support, also makes
a huge difference in your stress level. If you live in
clutter and confusion of space and time on a daily
basis, you'll feel frustrated, no doubt about it. Start
by simplifying your time, your routine, your stuff, and
you'll naturally begin to find "more than you need".
Then build on that one thing at a time.
4. Make Room for Happiness.
Be willing to let go of roles, attitudes, and yes, even
some people. Hanging on to the things in your life
that are just taking ups space and not contributing to
your life, is just squeezing out all the good that you
really want -- there's just no room. In order to have
happiness, less stress, and FUN in your life, you have
to first make room for it.
