Hello Everyone,

A warm welcome to everybody. I hope your week has gone well. Mine has
been very busy. Still trying to catch up on all the emails and read some of
the newsletters I am subscribed to. The summer has really flown by and the
starting of school is just around the corner. Its hard to believe the year is
halfway over. Soon we'll be looking at Christmas. I say that because usually
people start thinking of Christmas when schools began.

I have included a special Quote of the Day. If you can ready it without
a catch or tear, you have a stronger heart than I.

Another Attack is being made on God by of all groups, the ACLU,
(American Civil Liberties Union). It is said, but just goes to prove
how "carnal" we are.

Sincerely,

Janet Bullard

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
POINTS OF INTEREST -
Food For Thought:
"We must defend our rights and preserve our constitution,"
Chief Justice Moore told reporters. "For the federal courts
to adopt the agenda of the ACLU (American Civil Liberties
Union) and to remove the knowledge of God and morality
from our lives is wrong."
What will these groups do when they succeed in removing God
from every faucet of our public lives? I shudder to think. And, I
greive for a society so raped of it's heritage by ungodly persons.
Men have always destroyed what they are in fear of and this is
no different. They fear the power of God. They must destroy public
faith so they themselves have total power over the masses. That is
their adenda, make no mistake about it. The godless have always
feared their God. It is that very God who will destroy them in the end.
Daddy's Day at School
Her hair was up in a ponytail
Her favourite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy's Day at school,
And she couldn't wait to go.
But her mommy tried to tell her,
That she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
If she went to school alone.
But she was not afraid;
She knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates
Of why he wasn't there today.
But still her mother worried,
For her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
She tried to keep her daughter home.
But the little girl went to school,
Eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees
A dad who never calls.
There were daddies along the wall in back,
For everyone to meet.
Children squirming impatiently,
Anxious in their seats.
One by one the teacher called,
A student from the class.
To introduce their daddy,
As seconds slowly passed.
At last the teacher called her name,
Every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
For a man who wasn't there.
"Where's her daddy at?"
she heard a boy call out.
"She probably doesn't have one,"
Another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back,
she heard a daddy say,
"Looks like another deadbeat dad,
Too busy to waste his day."
The words did not offend her,
As she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
Who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
Slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
Came words incredibly unique.
"My Daddy couldn't be here,
Because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
Since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
And how much he loves me so.
He loved to tell me stories
He taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
And taught me to fly a kite.
We used to share fudge sundaes,
And ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him,
I'm not standing here alone.
Cause my daddy's always with me,
Even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
He'll forever be in my heart"
With that, her little hand reached up,
And lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
Beneath her favourite dress.
And from somewhere in the crowd of dads,
Her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
Who was wise beyond her years.
For she stood up for the love
Of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
Doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand back down,
Staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
But its message clear and loud.
"I love my daddy very much,
He's my shining star.
And if he could, he'd be here,
But heaven's just too far.
You see he was a fireman
And died just this past year
When airplanes hit the towers
And taught Americans to fear.
But sometimes when I close my eyes,
It's like he never went away."
And then she closed her eyes,
And saw him there that day.
And to her mother's amazement,
She witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
All starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they saw before them,
Who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second,
They saw him at her side.
"I know you're with me Daddy,"
To the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
Of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it,
For each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
Was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.
And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
By the love of her shining bright star.
And given the gift of believing,
that heaven is never too far
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate
them,a day to love them,
but then an entire life to forget them.
Send this phrase to the people you'll never forget and remember to send it
also to the person that sent it to you.
It's a short message to let them know that you'll never forget them. If
you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry and that you've
forgotten your friends.
Take the time...to live and love. Until eternity. God bless.
GUEST ARTICLE: Can you really make it online?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Can you really make it online? - Nicholas Dixon
-----------------------------------------------

A good day or (night!!) to all you lovely people out
there in cyberspace. Today I am going to talk about
finding success on the net. For some three years now
I have been designing and marketing websites,
newsletters and articles. I started out in it as an
hobby, but soon realized that I could make a career
out of it. It has been a roller-coaster ride so far
with it's fair share of ups and downs.

Back then when I first started out, I was light-headed
and eager to hop onto any program that offered "to make
you rich in six weeks with no work". I soon learned the
hard way that all that was just a myth. I was even scammed
twice on the net, falling to some "get rich" scheme which
was full of nothing but hype.

Soon after I realize what the internet was about with
all those scams and schemes, I started to look for the
"other side of the net" : the good side. The part of it
where you have to work hard to achieve what you want,
the part of it where you have to go months or years
without success before you finally find it. The internet
is not much different from the offline world , only that
it is cheaper to go into business and you are open 24/7.

But one has to work just as hard to get where you want to
go. I have been in the game for some time now, and I have
received my fair share of success. It wasn't easy to reach
where I am right now, I had to deal with rejection,
setbacks, lack of capital and a lot of other obstacles
most of which were unforeseen. But without those obstacles
in my way I wouldn't be were I am right now.

For those who are just starting, you have to be willing
to make mistakes and suffer setbacks and rejections if you
are going to stand a chance of success. Being persistence
will get you a long way. Until next time.

To your success and mine,

Nicholas

One of the things we have seen used a lot
on the Web these days is the Form "focus"
method.

What does this do? It brings the typing
cursor right to the input box that you
designate.

This is a very handy method that will
allow one to begin typing immediately.

Start by replacing your

Computer Virus Warning Signs
By Laura Quarantiello
© Tiare Publications Group

If you're conversant with computer code, looking at the actual
strings of code in a suspect program can help spot suspicious
or out of place commands. But even if don't know your way
around codes it may help to look at the contents of a data file
anyway. Strange messages are commonly inserted by virus
writers and can be read within the code. Look at a data file
with a word processing program and search for these.

It's very helpful to know how your computer and the programs
on it work. Look for unusual actions such as changes in screens
and graphics and unanticipated disk activity. Keep a watch on
the amount of available RAM on your system. A sudden
decrease in available memory is a tip-off that something is
amiss. It's a good idea to write down or print out the file sizes
of your various programs and check them occasionally to see
if an increase has occurred. This can indicate a virus, although
if you've added to the file since the last check this indication
will be false. Know the contents of your CONGIG.SYS and
AUOEXEC.BAT files and check them for any extra or inserted
lines or commands.

Whether you use a personal computer or work on a
company mainframe you should know the most common
signs of computer virus activity.

These include:

* Applications that don't work properly.
* Disks can't be accessed.
* Printing doesn't work correctly.
* Pull-down menus are distorted.
* File size changes for no apparent reason.
* Date of last access does not match date of last use.
*An increase in the number of files on the system when
nothing has been added
* Uncommanded disk drive activity.
* Unusual error messages.
* System slows down, freezes or crashes.

If your system does become infected a total rebuild is needed.
If you have your hard drive backed up you shouldn't be facing
much of a problem. If you're not backed up you are going to
lose valuable data.

HELPING HAND AT HOME

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Turn Ziploc Bags Into Bubble Wrap
There's nothing more frustrating than running out of bubble wrap while packing up a kitchen
or a living room filled with knick-knacks. This resourceful trick will save you a trip to the store
and make you feel as proud as a Girl Scout. Slip a straw in a nearly closed Ziploc bag and inflate.
Remove straw, seal, and cushion cargo. Wrap delicate items with newspaper first. (And heirloom
china should wait for that bubble wrap.)
2. Use Corks and Tiles as Heat Protectors
With a little bit of creative thinking, the most unassuming, easily discardable items can have have
brilliant second careers in the kitchen. Corks, traditionally used as wine stoppers, make excellent
heat protectors: Slip one or two under a pot lid's handle and you'll always have something safe to
grab. For a hot plate, attach felt to a leftover tile (46 felt pads, $1 at Home Depot).
Reward: Fewer blisters and furniture rings.
3. Scrub Your Kitchen With Lemons
Lemons multitask in the kitchen. They're great for removing tough food stains from light wood
and plastic cutting boards. Slice a lemon in half, squeeze onto the soiled surface, rub, and let sit
for 20 minutes before rinsing. Other use: washing up after eating or cooking fish. Rub lemon on
hands and rinse. One more use: Run a wedge through the garbage disposal for a house that
smells like a lemon grove.
4. Get the Most Out of Two Kitchen Gadgets
Two annoying kitchen clean-up jobs made easy:
1. Before you grate cheese, coat the grater with cooking spray to prevent messy clogging. It will
be easier to use and wash.
2. Before measuring honey or other gooey substances-- sesame oil, corn syrup -- run hot water
on the inside of the measuring spoon or cup and don't dry it off. Instead of clinging to the sides, the
sticky liquid will slide right out.
Online Marketing Tips for the Health
Copyright © 2003 Priya Shah
Have you ever wondered what successful people have that
makes them successful?
Ever wonder how those champion recruiters in your company
manage, month after month, to get the most new recruits,
the biggest bonuses, the largest paychecks?
Well let me tell you a secret. No one starts out as a
Champion. Most of them started out like you and me.
So what is it that makes a Champion different from the
rest?
Champions have an attitude, a mindset that sets them apart
from the rest. But most of these qualities are not exceptional.
Indeed each and every one of us possesses these qualities
when we start out in life. But somewhere along the way we
tend to lose them and diminish our own potential.
To be a Champion, you must first become a Child! Let me
explain:
1. Champions are Willing to Learn.
Children come into this world with an innate desire to
learn, to understand the world around them.
They are like sponges observing and absorbing every fact,
every reaction. Because they know that their very survival
depends on it.
One of the most important, and oft-repeated, qualities we
need to succeed in business is a willingness to learn - to
be teachable.
To become a champion, you must be willing to educate
yourself or be educated, to read about, learn and absorb
all the things you need to know, even if they are
completely new to you.
If you don't, you are doomed to failure from the start.
2. Champions are Willing to Act
Have you notice how children completely geared towards
action? As soon as they learn a new skill, they want to put
it into action.
Champions are the same. They put their newly learned skills
to use, taking concrete steps to improve their performance,
so they can take their business to the next level.
They know that they must act on what they have learned,
even if they haven't perfected it. Which brings me to their
next quality.
3. Champions are Not Afraid to Fail
Just as a child picks itself up again and again, every time
it falls while taking its first steps, champions are not
afraid to fall down or fail.
They know that failure is the best teacher. They learn from
their mistakes and keep fine-tuning their methods till they
succeed.
Champions have the courage to fall down and not be
discouraged. They pick themselves up and keep trying.
4. Champions are Willing to Adapt
Darwin got it wrong.
Survival does not happen to the Fittest, but to the Most
Adaptable.
As children, we adapt to long-term change relatively
easily. We are more willing to accept situations and adapt
our behaviour accordingly.
Unfortunately, as we grow older, we become more rigid in
our thinking, unwilling to accept that there may be better
ways of doing things.
In a changing business scenario, resistance to change makes
us obsolete. We end up losing out to players with a better
understanding of changing trends.
Champions are those who can adapt themselves and their
business to changing trends.
5. Champions are Willing to Innovate
Children are extremely inventive beings. They come into
this world with no preconceived notions of doing things. In
their minds there are no limits to what they can do or how
they can do it.
Champions apply these very principles to take their
business to the top.
They not only learn from what has been done before. They
find ways of doing it more efficiently, more cheaply, more
successfully.
As Shiv Khera, motivation coach and author of "You Can Win"
puts it, "Winners don't do different things. They do things
differently."
You don't have to be like a child in all respects to
succeed. It's probably not even desirable.
But if your pre-conceived notions, fears and hesitation are
preventing you from reaching your goals, try looking at the
world through a child's eyes.
At best you will improve your chances of success, at worst
you'll remain young at heart.
GARDENING:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do your plants look wilted? Are they droopy?

Give them a little iron!

Ingredients:
1 cup hydrated lime
1 cup liquid iron
1 cup baby shampoo

Pour these in a 20 gallon sprayer. You can adjust the amount of ingredients if you don't have a huge
sprayer. However, you will need to spay the plants until they have runoff.

If you planted a garden this year, it should be in full swing by now. Try these to help keep the critters
form taking over.
1. Sprinkle moth crystals along critter paths, not moth balls. Kids could come along and think it was
a piece of candy. Or a dog could eat it.
2. Black pepper should be sprinkled over your plants around the edges of your garden, especially
at the back, or the farthest point from your house.
3. Bloodmeal is really good. Animals will smell the "blood" and move to a sweeter place.

1/8 t. dried oregano
Dash of pepper
Dash of cayenne pepper

Mix all ingredients and place in refrigerator.

Onion Preparations:

1 egg
1 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 ¾ t. salt
1 ¾ t. Cayenne pepper
1 t. paprika
¾ t. ground black pepper
¼ t. dried oregano
1/8 t. dried thyme
1/8 t. cumin
1 Jumbo Sweet Yellow or White Onion
at least ¾ pound
Vegetable Oil for Frying
Cold water to chill the onion

1. Beat egg and milk together in bowl large enough to dip
onion.
2. Mix together flour, salt, peppers, paprika, oregano, thyme and cumin.
3. Take the onion and slice ¾ to 1 inch off the top and bottom. You may
remove the core of the onion now or wait until you make your first
two cuts in Step 4.
4. Using a thin knife, begin slice the onion. Do not cut through to the
bottom! First, cut the onion down the middle, then turn half around
and cut again. If you have not removed the core, you may do so now.
5. Continue making cuts, turning the onion around and cutting each section
in half. Your goal is to make at least 16 cuts. The pieces will become
smaller as each section is cut in half, so be careful. Remember, not to cut
all the way to the bottom.
6. After you have made your cuts, gently spread the small sections, creating a petal
look. The more they are separated the more coating you will have to
stick to the onion. To help the sections to stay open dip the onion
in cold water for a minute.
7. Shake excess water from onion and dip the onion in the milk mixture, covering
all the sections. Then dip the onion into the dry mix. Repeat this at least
once. The more times you coat the onion the more will stick and create
the crispy coating we all love so much.
8. Place the onion in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes. This will allow the
coating to soak up the milk mixture.
9. Heat oil to 350º F. You will need enough oil to completely cover the onion
allowing even browning.
10. Place the onion into the oil right side up, the petals should be open. Cook the
onion for 10 minutes or until the onion is browned.
11. Remove and allow to drain on rack. Once cool enough, dig in!!!

PARENT'S CORNER: "6 STEPS TO A STRONGER MIND"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"6 STEPS TO A STRONGER MIND" by Mark Victor Hansen
--------------------------------------------------
Our minds are all we've got. They are the source
of who we, both personally and professionally.
They determine our success or failure. They are
our strength and our weakness.
With the quality of our entire lives resting on
our minds, it's unbelievable that we choose to fill
them with so much garbage. The amount of negativity
from television, newspapers, tabloids and other media
that bombards us on a daily basis is amazing. We would
never think to fill our bodies with only junk food,
right? Heck no. We know that if we ate nothing but
French fries and ice cream we would experience
negative consequences like skin blemishes,
weight gain and rotting teeth.
But with mental junk food we don't see the physical
consequences right away. When our minds are constantly
filled with negativity and bad news, our minds begin to
decay. That's why we need to develop a strong, Herculean-
esque mind.
Developing your mental muscles will give you the power to
accomplish anything you want in life. Sure, it takes some
discipline on your part, but look at the world's greatest
bodybuilders. They don't show up at the gym every once in
a while. They create a workout schedule and they are at
the gym every day, no matter what.
Hire yourself as your "mental manager". Figure out how
much you're going to pay yourself and make up a job list.
Here are six jobs to assign to yourself to create a
stronger mind.
1. Read Right
How much good news do you see in the newspapers? Editors
usually say, "If it bleeds, it leads." Not much chance of
positivity there. So, read something else. Read books?
good books. Books that motivate you. Books that inspire
you. Look up some of the great inspirational authors on
amazon.com or in your local bookstore. Read them every
morning and/or every night, before you go to sleep.
2. Share Your Mind
Find someone, or a group of someone's, who have the same
desire to share positivity. This is called masterminding.
Great successes are created when great minds come together
and think about the same things.
3. Find A Mentor
My mentor was Buckminster Fuller and I learned more from
that man about life than I ever hoped to. Who are the
people you admire most, whether you know them or not?
Figure out whom you'd like to emulate and study them.
If they offer seminars, attend them. If they've written
books, read them. Just a few I'd recommend are:
Tony Robbins, Dr. Wayne Dyer and Zig Ziglar.
4. Listen to Motivational/Inspirational CDs and Tapes
This is one of the most important habits you can create
for yourself. Find inspirational audio messages and
listen to them over and over. Earl Nightingale, one of
the most brilliant thinkers of our time, had this to say
on the subject: "Tape listening is the most important
advance in technology since the invention of the
printing press." With audiotapes and CDs, speakers
can reach 10 times as many people as the printed
word ever could.
5. Sign Up and Attend Seminars
The motivational messages you hear at seminars, and the
inspirational people you meet, reinforce your self-esteem
and positive thinking. You can search out seminars via the
internet, newspapers or local colleges and universities.
6. Turn Off the Television
On average, the television set in an American home is on
over 7 hours a day. Just like any bad habit, it needs to
be broken. I'm not saying that all television is bad.
Heck no. I'm simply recommending that you cut back on
your television viewing. Decide how long you're going to
watch television and then turn it off when you're time is
up. Try cutting back your television viewing one hour
every day at first. You can use that time to read a
book, listen to a motivational tape, walk your dog
or spend time with your family.
After reading these six steps maybe you're saying, "But
Mark, I can't do it. I just don't know if I can be this
dedicated to bettering myself?" Who else are you going
to be dedicated to if not yourself? Because when it
comes right down to it, folks, you are all that you've
got. Jobs and relationships come and go. Children grow
up, leave the nest and get lives of their own. Then
there you are, alone with yourself. Why not create
a "you" you can be proud of.
'Amaze yourself; manifest your full potential.'
cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number
of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in
