While there is no way to completely block others from taking your source code and images, here
are a couple tricks you can use to make code/ image-snatching a little more difficult. Although not
fool-proof, it will deter most visitors from seeing your code and/ or stealing your images. Both of these
tricks disable the right-click function, however, your visitors can still go in their browser under View\Source.

The first method requires you paste the following JavaScript into the <head> of your document.

Change That Boring Start Up Page

When you launch your browser, does it always go straight
to MSN? Or to Yahoo!? Or to some other site? Would you
like to make it open on a blank page instead? Or just
change the default entirely to a new page, like, your
own page that you built?

Here's how...

Open Internet Explorer.

On the Menu line,
Click Tools,
Internet Options.

You'll see the Internet Options dialog
box displayed. The General tab is pre-selected.

The first item is the Home Page section, and it says "You
can change which page to use for your Home Page." The
address bar will have a URL (address) listed. Three buttons
help you make a choice: Current, Default, and Blank.

The buttons in order now....

* The 'Current' button makes whatever page is in your
browser at the moment the new home page. It's the current
page. Click to "make it so."

* The 'Default' button will most likely make Microsoft's MSN
network the default page.

* The 'Blank' button will make make a blank page your home
page. Just a blank page is all you'll see.

So, if you have a particular page you want to appear when
you start IE, just open the menu, set the page to Current,
and you've done it.

It's a puzzler:Sew a puzzle mat!

Every parent knows the story: jigsaw puzzles are fun to work, but
tough to work around. What's the solution to tying up table tops or
floor space with a puzzle work in progress?

Its a Puzzler! This one-seam easy-sew puzzle allows puzzles to be
worked at will, then rolled up and stowed away between play sessions.
It's crafted from a short length of craft felt and a recycled gift
wrap roller.

Make them in multiples for the holidays. The Puzzler puzzle mat is
perfect for teacher gifts. Paired with a new puzzle, the Puzzler makes
a special family gift.

Materials and Supplies:
1 yard 72-inch wide craft felt fabric
(one yard makes two Puzzlers; buy felt online from joann.com)
thread to match
recycled cardboard gift wrap roller, 28 to 32 inches long
2 9"-10" hook-and-loop straps to secure mat
(find pre-made Velcro-brand hook-and-loop straps at crafts and home
improvement stores)
sewing machine
pins
scissors or rotary cutter
hot glue gun with glue sticks
optional: craft paint and stencils

Instructions:
1. Using the gift wrap roller as a guide, cut one rectangle of craft
felt. The narrow end should measure the length of the roller, the longer
end should measure that length plus 5 inches, to create the roller pocket.
Use a rotary cutter and ruler for best results.

From the scraps, cut two 4-inch by 5-inch rectangles to cover roller ends.

3. Place roller along the shorter side of the large rectangle. Fold the
felt over the roller to create a pocket, and pin to secure. Carefully remove
the roller.

Using sewing machine, sew a straight seam down the length of the roller pocket.
Backstitch at the beginning and end of the seam. Remember to remove pins as
you sew!

3. Align small rectangles around the edges of the roller, and trim to fit
exactly. Use the hot glue gun to glue the small rectangle around the outside
of the roller. Carefully fold the rectangle to the inside of the roller and
secure with hot glue.

4. Carefully slide roller into the pocket. Felt will stretch, so be gentle!
Roll mat onto roller and secure with hook-and-loop straps.

5. Optional: for a "professional" finish, personalize puzzle mat using
crafts paint and stencils.

So you have tried to market your offers, or home biz deal,
on the Internet and things have just not worked out for
you! You hear about all the folks out there who are getting
rich online, and you wonder why success has not yet come
your way. If this applies to you, this article can help you
find hidden mistakes in your marketing efforts and how to
avoid them.

Reason #1) They put up their web site, and then wonder why
no visitors are coming. In other words, they do nothing and
wonder why they are not making any money.

This is the number one killer for your ebiz, or any
business for that matter. You MUST do something if you want
your business to grow and prosper. There are many options
that you can use on the Internet for getting visitors to
your site. Find out what works best for you, and then keep
doing it. But, you MUST do something!

Reason #2) Ineffective Ad Copy or Web Site Copy.

Let's face it; if you don't have compelling ad copy no one
is going to visit your site from your marketing efforts. If
and when you get visitors to your site, the message on your
web site must be compelling enough to get them to fill out
a form, or ask for more information. If you don't have the
experience or skill of writing good copy, you have two
choices:

a) You can learn how to write copy
b) You can hire someone to write the copy for you

In my opinion learning to write your own copy is best. Who
knows your business better than you? I have paid ones to
write copy for me before and have never been happy with the
result. There are good copywriters out there to be sure,
but they won't treat your project like their baby - because
it is not! Learn how to do it yourself, and you can launch
a new product or service any time you get ready!

Reason #3) This reason really ties in with the first 2,
yet is important enough to be in it's own category. Here it
is: ==> Folks Don't Read Enough!

You would think that this would not be a problem on the
Internet, but it is a HUGE one! I'm not sure why people get
online and then don't read or do any homework, but they
don't. The net is all about information, and if you want to
take advantage of the possibilities, you better learn to
read!

I must spend a couple grand each year or more buying
books, ebooks, and other info products. If you are in
business not only is this necessary but you can write off
the cost of educating yourself.

Too many would-be entrepreneurs feel they can skimp in
this area. Not only do they not purchase any study
material, but they won't read any free content either. Then
you have the group that does purchase books and other
material for their business, and then they never take time
to read it. What a waste! They probably have an ebook or
other info product right there on their hard drive and they
simply forgot they have it, or won't take time to do any
homework.

There you have it, the top 3 reasons why folks fail in
their online marketing efforts. To avoid this in your own
business simply:

� Do something (don't set on your hands and expect business
to come to you)
� Work on your ad copy and web site copy or hire a
professional
� Do your homework - READ!

Bleeding Hearts for All Summer Blooms
Wandering the nursery the other day, I was stopped in my tracks
by a large display of early spring blooming Bleeding Hearts.

Now, these were not your average bleeding hearts but a new variety
and while I immediately borrowed a pot for trial purposes, I think
it is worth looking at the entire family of plants for adding to
our shady gardens.

To begin with, bleeding heart, heart�s ease, Dutchman�s breeches,
staggerweed and turkey corn are all common names we�ve given to
the Dicentra plant family. Dicentra comes from our old Greek
friends, dis meaning �twice� and kentron or �spur�. If you look
at any Dicentra flower, you�ll find they have two spurs sticking
upwards. Bleeding heart is an obvious reference to the shape of
the old-fashioned Dicentra spectabilis while staggerweed may refer
to the plants production of noxious alkaloids. The old herbals say
this plant produces alkaloids and if eaten in large enough quantities
is harmful. It was used as a narcotic in the treatment of syphilis,
scrofula, skin infections as well as unspecified female disorders.
As with most plants, Dicentra is not recommended for backyard medicine
of any kind.

Dicentra spectabilis or the old-fashioned bleeding heart is one of my
favourite spring bloomers. Perhaps I like them because my grandfather
had a huge clump in his garden (it seems every grandparent had a massive
clump of this easily grown plant) but mine are well up and starting to
grow as I write this column. In fact, one of the newest varieties of
bleeding heart, the variety ��Goldheart� a yellow-golden leaf form is
throwing new shoots. I�ve had this variety for several years now and if
kept shaded, it grows wonderfully and holds its gold leaves for most of
the summer. It is an excellent contrast plant beside a darker leaved
Heuchera or yew where it sits in my own garden. �Alba� is a good white
flowered form too and while it hasn�t been quite as vigorous as the pink
in my garden, I do enjoy it for a touch of spring brightness in darker areas.

Plantspeople are discussing the genetic heritage of some of the shorter
Dicentra forms but gardeners should ignore these debates and simply grow the
plants. You see, these short bleeding hearts bloom almost all summer in
the shady garden and that�s reason enough to grow them. Who cares about
the genes if a plant
flowers like these do. I�m listing these plants
as they are likely to be found in catalogs but just between us, don�t worry
about the species name, look for the individual name to find excellent plants.

Dicentra eximia is a northeast North American native with a heavily fringed
leaf and smallish flowers. It will naturalize well in shady areas, spreading
around and flowering with trilliums and other spring beauties. �Alba� is a
white form while �Stuart Boothman� is a soft pink form with leathery looking,
grey-green foliage. Dicentra formosa, a western variety, is more tolerant of
sunshine and more drought tolerant as well. The varieties of this plant are
much showier and heavier blooming than the D. exemia varieties so you�ll
see a lot more of these in local garden centres. �Adrian Bloom� has ruby
read flowers and strong growth. �Alba� again a white flowering form gives
a good flower show but is not as vigorous as the most common variety
�Luxuriant�. This standard variety has cherry red flowers and is, as all
are the others, twelve inches tall. It spreads to approximately eighteen
inches wide but blooms for a very long time in my garden.� �Snowflakes� is a
white form that is also a good bloomer. �King of Hearts� is the new one that
caught my attention this spring with its extravagant blooming and finely cut
leaves. It has already been planted in my new garden where I intend to give it
a good growing this summer.

And that�s the trick with these plants, give them a good growing. If you give
them shade to semi-shade and a constantly moist but not sopping soil, they will
outbloom most other plants in the garden. They love a shovel of compost applied
in the spring and will reward this compost and regular watering with a constant
supply of colour. Plant them approximately eighteen inches apart (twenty-four for
the larger D. spectabilis) and add several shovels of compost to the planting hole.
This plant thrives on organic matter so a good mulch is equally helpful and will
promote huge growth and flowering. Extra plants for friends come from spring divisions
although the larger varieties will self-sow and cuttings are possible if tricky to
do. As long as you remember that this is a plant of the woodland or woodland edge
and treat it accordingly, you�ll do fine. Too much sun will cause the plant to disappear
(melt) over the summer and go dormant. It will reappear the following spring but it
will not be a happy plant.

I�ll let you know how my new �King of Hearts� grows this summer; it has already
joined the rest of the family in my gardening heart.

Cabbage Salad

Salad:
1/2 large head cabbage, chopped
1/2 bunch of broccoli, chopped
1/2 head cauliflower, broken into florets
4 green onions, chopped
1 pkg Ramen chicken flavored noodles
1/2 cup silivered almonds
2 T sesame seeds

Toast noodles, almonds, and sesame seeds on a cookie sheet in oven until golden.
Toss with chopped vegetables in a large bowl.

Dressing:
12 cup vegetable oil
3 T cider vinegar
2 T sugar
1 t. salt
Chicken flavor packet Ramen Noodles

Stir together all ingredients, pour over salad, and mix well. Refrigerate
until ready to serve.

1. A Fast Food Cutter
For a quick and easy way to cut up your child�s food, try using a pizza cutter.
It works on anything - pancakes, meat, sandwiches - and is much quicker than a knife.

2.Beach Tote
When packing kids along to the beach, take along a wagon. You can carry your cooler,
chairs, toys, umbrella, towels, etc. in it, and still have one hand free to hold on to your child.

3. Beat the Breakfast Rush
Before your child goes to bed at night, have him tell you he wants to eat for breakfast the
next day. Help him get out the necessary materials, like bowl, spoon, etc., and have him
set his place at the table. This will put an end to early morning breakfast decisions, and, best
of all, everything will be waiting when you wake up.

4. Boredom Basket
To keep your child from becoming bored during errands, try making a boredom basket. Fill
it with your child�s favorite books, crayons, puzzles, toys, snacks, etc. When you reach your
destination, your child then chooses which activity he would like to take inside and use. This
way there is always a new "boredom buster" available.

5. Dressing Made Easier
To help toddlers with self-dressing, without limiting their independence, try having clothes pre-folded
into packages of matching outfits, that are also weather-appropriate. For example, fold underwear
inside a shirt, and fold them both into pants. Then your child just grabs a pack of clothes of his/her
choice, and you know that it will match.

A Leak In Your Circulatory System
PART 1 of 9

I had an interesting question from a reader about "a hole in the
aorta". And as frequently happens, I get carried away by these
simple questions. I know people don't expect long dissertations
on their subjects when they ask a health-related question. They
don't provide me with a reason for the question, so I can't give
any specific information. I answered the reader's question
directly with very little detail. However, I thought you might
be interested in knowing a little more.

Have you ever even thought of an aneurysm? Probably not unless
you are directly involved as a participant/patient or a
relative? I thought you might like to know what actually happens
in an aneurysm: how it gets to be that way, what possible causes
there are, what treatment is given, what side effects can
happen, if they can be prevented and if you have one, what's
ahead for you.

First, let's learn what it actually is. Aneurysms occur in the
circulatory system. This network of "smooth" corridors includes
the heart, lungs, arteries, arterioles (small arteries), and
capillaries (very tiny blood vessels), and veins and venules
(very small veins). (Did you know that if you laid all these
vessels end-to-end, they'd extend about 60,000 miles? That's
enough to tie up the earth twice around!)

This "transportation corridor" goes all through the body.
Picture a tube-like "container" along the lines of a garden
hose. It's a hollow, clean, inner corridor (space) with no
blockages unless they are there naturally. Close to the center
of your body, the diameter of these spaces is very large in
comparison to other body structures. As it goes outwards towards
the farthest parts of the body, the diameters get smaller and
smaller. (Arteries change to arterioles and vein are called
venules). Normally this corridor has "routes" or vessels that go
to the toes, the fingertips, and to the brain. And of course
everywhere in between. (It's like the traffic tunnel under the
Hudson River coming into New York City. Or the underground in
London, England. We are talking about the container: not the
contents. This are similar to the highway and the cars on the
highway or the coal cars on the train tracks. The cars carry the
load, but they are not the ones having this "mechanical"
problem: the highway is. With the aneurysm, it's the corridor
itself or the vessel holding the blood that has the problem.
