Hello Internet Marketer,
I would like to welcome everyone, old and new subscribers alike, to this issue of MWCE. The new year has started in full swing for MWCE and I am thankful for all the support from you. As a reminder, there are a few special rate advertising spots left, if you have not purchased any don't get left out.
I left the article about protecting your animals from Anti-Freeze Poisoning in this weeks issue. Over the Christmas Holiday's we lost our dog. the poisoning did not come from our oversite, but from a neighbor who only comes out to the country to party on whatever "holiday" is current. Keep your animals safe along with your neighbor's. Clean up any spills you have when adding Anti-Freeze to your auto. Anti-Freeze is a two edged sword.
Don't forget my church, Greenland Baptist Church, has begun to publishing a monthly newsletter. If you are interested in learning about Christ and God's love you may sign up at the following address: http://greenland.magnoliawalker.com Include your Full Name and mailing address.
I have some free downloads for you. They are listed below. Right click to download. When Menu Pops up Click "Save Target As". All are free to download, some do have upgrade areas.

A Message from Guest Pastor: Steve Singleton
Jesus is Lord: Let's Stop Usurping His Roles
In five words Paul enunciates the basic principle of the Christian life: "You are not your own" (1 Cor. 6:19). Some of the Corinthian Christians were acting like they were autonomous, as if their lives had not been bought and paid for with the precious blood of Christ. Because they ignored this principle, they were practicing sexual immorality. Paul tells them that instead they ought to "glorify God with your body" (v. 20). But this principle has broader applications than just sexual purity.
You are not your own boss. Because we are Christ's, we are highly motivated as workers----it is the Lord Christ that we serve (Col. 3:24). This means doing all that is expected of us, and more. We will be honest and trustworthy because we love and respect Him who is our ultimate boss.
You are not your own banker. Both our ability to make money (Deut. 8:18) and our possessions themselves are gifts from God, so that we can be generous on every occasion (2 Cor. 9:11). Since our money belongs to Another, we learn to be content with it or without it, by Christ's strength (Phil. 4:11-13).
You are not your own lawyer. The old proverb, "He who represents himself has a fool for a client," could never be truer than in heaven's court. If we stand alone in that docket, we will surely be condemned (Rom. 3:23; 6:23). But thank God, we have an Advocate with the Father, who is effective, for He pleads the merits of His own life and His death (2 Cor. 5:21; 1 John 2:1-2). Wise clients will follow the advice of their lawyer.
Boss, banker, lawyer----in all of these roles and more, Christ is outstandingly successful, and you and I are miserable failures. Let's listen to Paul and stop trying to usurp these jobs. To do so is to insult the Lord who can do them so much better.

Out of the Box
Connie Butler
" It is nëver too late to be what you might have been. "
George Eliot
I have found that truly succëssful people surround themselves with the support that makes them excel. Over years of working with clients I have found that people struggle when they put their businesses and their lives in a self-imposed limiting box and keep doing the same things over and over again.
So what I do it is help people dismantle that box, the attitudes, ideas, beliefs, choices and strategies that keep them limited and I teach them how to connect to the full range of their talents, abilities and resources so that they can bring that immensity and excitement back into their daily planning and choices.
I define a limiting box as any idea of yourself or the world, any attitude, any language you use, any belief or any expërience that diminishes you in anyway or robs you of your personal power and prevents you from moving forward in the world.
Living in these boxes keeps us within what we already know; we repeat the same habitual actions hoping for a better result and end up disillusioned and feeling stuck. In ordër to live the best life possible for yourself you have to master the skill of moving into the unknown. The unknown is really anything outside of the box that we have created from past expëriences, beliefs and ideas. It is where fresh opportunity, excitement and more satisfaction reside.
Over and over again in working with new clients we uncover the ways in which they are creating difficulty for themselves by not even seeing the opportunities that are right in front of them just slightly outside of their box. Often, they feel frustrated in their efforts and even give up on doing what they love most. In doing this they turn away from what could bring their greatest reward.
Here are some symptoms of living in the box:
- Frustration
- Anger
- Lack of energy or motivation
- Feeling stuck
- Resentment
- Lack of creativity
- Disorganization
- Cynicism
- Not doing what you love
- Boredom
- A sense of failure
- Despair
There are many boxes that people create for themselves. Here are a few of them:
The box of language... the I'm not or you're not good enough box. Language is a powerful tool. How we use it both describes and begins to structure our expërience for us. Every time you use language that diminishes you or others — That was stupid of me, I'm nëver going to make this work, Life it just too hard etc, etc — we strengthen the walls of the box we are in.
The box of familiar actions... the I'm safe if I don't try anything new box. Our actions can either open new doorways for us or keep us in the same groove we are familiar with. Someone described his expërience of this lately. He said that it is like going down a dead-end street and then having to turn around and come back again, over and over again, wasting a whole lot of energy and time in the process. After doing this a number of times people often give up. Seeing and acting outside of the box can allow you a different perspective from which to connect the dots.
The box of blame... the I have no power box. Many people insist on blaming their circumstances, the financial mârkets, their spouse, dog or anyone else for the situation they are in. Until you can recognize and identify the ways you are perpetuating this box and take responsibility it is very difficult to make real progress. Granted externals have an impact but recognizing how you create a box out of circumstances allows you the power and energy to begin moving out of it.
The box of negative expectation... the I know that the same thing is going to happen box. When faced with something you don't know notice if you expect either something negative to happen or expect that what you have expërienced before will repeat itself. Many people use this as a way to move away from their fear of change and keep the status quo in place. They would rather stay with the known pain than rďsk something new. The unknown I am talking about has all the possibility in it. If we project our negative or limiting expectations on it there is no room for anything new. Imagine what would happen if this box did'nt hold you!
What are your favorite boxes and what might happen in your personal or professional life if you were guided out of those boxes? Often it is hard for us to do it alone. Sometimes we can't even identify where we are stuck without a fresh set of very interested eyes. Coaching can offër you that new vantage point, that broader view and the support and tools needed to move outside your BOX.

Restricting the Number of Times a User Can Submit a Form
This page shows you how to use JavaScript cookies to restrict the number of times a user can submit a form. Here is a test form (the maximum number of times you can submit it is 2):
Here's the < FORM> tag I'm using:
< FORM
ACTION="http://www.mcfedries.com/scripts/formtest.asp"
METHOD="POST"
onSubmit="return validate(this)">
Notice how it includes an onSubmit attribute that tells the browser to run the validate( ) function when the user submits the form.
The JavaScript below shows you the validate( ) function as well as the various cookie-related functions.. Three things to note:
Use the maxSubmits variable to set the maximum number of times the user is allowed to submit the form.
The name of the cookie is TotalSubmissions. If you plan on using this code in multiple forms, be sure to use a unique cookie name in each form.
I've included a button that enables you to reset the cookie to 0. This is for testing purposes only! You should delete this as soon as you're finished testing the form.
To use this script, copy everything between (and including) the tags, and insert it between your page's and tags:

- Use Corks and Tiles as Heat Protectors
- With a little bit of creative thinking, the most unassuming, easily discardable items can have have brilliant second careers in the kitchen. Corks, traditionally used as wine stoppers, make excellent heat protectors: Slip one or two under a pot lid's handle and you'll always have something safe to grab. For a hot plate, attach felt to a leftover tile (46 felt pads, $1 at Home Depot). Reward: Fewer blisters and furniture rings. Visit AOL Keyword: Real Simple Shortcuts or www.RealSimple.com
- Take the time to label your circuit breakers
- When you flip one, or blow a fuse, it is a lot easier to reset it or replace the fuse, if you know which one it is. It can also be very uncomfortable trying to find the correct switch, as this inevitably happens when it is cold in the garage, and you have to keep the doors open as you yell back and forth to your spouse or children as you test each switch. Also, when you are testing them to mark them, do it slowly. If you flip too many switches too quickly, you can cause a power surge.

Ten Tips For Writing Good Sales Copy
Copyright © 2004 Tim North
Writing an ad? The tips below -- and the important warning that follows -- will help you to get the very best response.
Start by choosing a single benefit of your product or service that you wish to highlight above everything else. This is your "principal selling position". To choose this, ask yourself what specific benefit makes your product or service different, better, or spe`cial. Is it the price? The convenience? The reliability? How are you different from your competitors?
Write attention-grabbing headlines. This is very important. People are overloaded with information, so they skim read -- particularly on the Internet. If your headline doesn't get their attention everything else may go unread. Your headline will often highlight your principal selling position.
Write a list of all the features of your product or service then translate each of these into a benefit for the customer. One way to do this is to look at each feature in turn then ask yourself "So what?" Imagine you're a customer; why should you care about this feature? Ask yourself, "What will it do for me?"
For example, don't just say that you product is fast (a feature) tell the customer that it will give them more fr`ee time (a benefit). Better still, paint a picture of them using their fr`ee time to go to the beach, read a book, or relax.
Write copy that emphasises the benefits in a way that makes an emotional connection. For example, let's say you're selling toothpaste. A feature might be that it contains fluoride. Sure, but that's boring. Rather, say it "Lessens Tooth Decay!" or even better: "Brush with Boffo and Avoid the Dentist's Drill!" See? You've turned a dull feature into a strong emotional benefit linked to people's fear of dental procedures. Isn't that more effective than "Contains fluoride"?
Start with your strongest selling points. The first few paragraphs are particularly important. Use them to create a desire for your product or service by briefly touching on the major benefits it will bring the customer. You don't have to go into too much detail up front as you can expand on these benefits later. Do try to get your big guns in early, though.
Testimonials sell. Good, believable testimonials from real people will help sales, particularly on the web where establishing credibility is a tough job. For even better credibility, ask your testimonial writers if you can include their contact details along with their testimonial.
Write with a natural style. Don't try to be pretentious or over friendly. Just write it the way you'd say it.
Decide who you're writing for and why. What tone are you trying to convey: light hearted or serious? What level of jargon are you going to employ? Suit your language to your intended audience.
The final sales pitch can be strengthened with some or all of the following techniques:
* A good deal; e.g. "20% off".
* Urgency; e.g. "This week on'ly".
* Ri`sk fr`ee; e.g. "Comes with a mo`ney-back gua'rantee!"
End by telling the reader what to do; e.g. "Ring now" or "Cli'ck here to or`der now for immediate delivery". Needless to say, ordering details must be clearly visible and simple to follow.
Looking at these tips, it may seem that good advertising involves manipulating the emotions of your customers. Yes, it does. Selling is a blatant form of emotional manipulation that involves convincing your customer that they want to buy your product or service, and they want to do it now.
Is this unethical? Well, it can be. It depends where you draw the line. In point 9 I said that your sales message could include a sense of urgency. A common ploy on the web is to include a claim like "Off`er closes this Saturday". If you go back to the site the following week, though, the off`er is still available. If you were tricked by such a claim, would you or`der from that company again?
So, by all means, use the tips above to write as persuasively as you can, but remember that if you attract sales by deceiving your customers you ri`sk legal action, poor word of mouth, no repeat business and refund requests.
So, be as persuasive as you can possibly be, but avoid the temptation to be "too" persuasive.

Sure, it makes sense that there's a buzz about vertical gardening----there are lots more of us to feed these days with much less productive land. "Let's make the best use of our diminishing resources," many are saying. And likely there are also those who dismiss vertical gardening as a fad. Mostly, though, I hear talk about increased yields. However, I suspect there are vertical gardeners like myself who have been surprised by another aspect we hadn't expected.
"Necessity is the mother of invention," is a cliché often quoted, and human food requirements necessitate sponging-up sunlight at smaller and smaller focal points. My wife, Vicki, and I have a small yard, and somewhat out of necessity we began years ago building what began as rather makeshift trellises. Somewhere along our way, it had dawned on us that vining plants, such as cucurbits, those that produce melons, squash, cucumbers and pumpkins, are much like grape vines, their vines produce tendrils that secure to structures so they can climb as they grow.
Commercial farmers still grow cucurbits on the ground, but home gardeners realized long ago that these vining plants are more adapted to growing upward. Of course, home gardeners support cucurbit vines on trellises of all sorts and have devised many ingenious, albeit awkward, means of providing support to heavy melons, pumpkins or squash while they are yet ripening and suspended.
We began to desire a more scientific and artistic approach to vertical gardening and to building a vertical garden structure. We searched in vain for a guidebook to how to build one that is both aesthetic and engineered to be vine-friendly, and finally resigned to sketching our own design and years ago we built our first vertical garden structure. As the next season progressed, we were amazed to see squash and melon vines rise to heights over our heads.
www.gardensup.com
Each year since, we have been delighted by astounding yields and our harvests of both heirlooms and hybrids (see photos at our website). We have harvested mouth-watering melons whose flavors are unmatched by the "store-boughts," and we store enough squash each year that it is mid-April before we cook and savor the last of our trophies. As pleasurable as it is to bite into these orbs of sweetness and palate sensation, though, there is another thrill exclusive to vertical gardening that may eclipse these joys.
Vines grown vertically are artful all by themselves as they twist about and their tendrils reach and spiral. We've observed, though, that with a little pruning and directional coaxing using garden ties, they can be guided to achieve magnificent form and function. Each day of the growing season we can step over to our vertical garden to find wondrous surprises.
The magnificence of vines grown vertically tugs gently at our subtler nature until we begin to awaken to a certain glimpse of the sublime. The joys experienced when tending vines may be akin to what one feels when listening to corn grow during the hush of dawn. I 've fallen into awe sometimes while cultivating and coaxing vines to grow left or right or up or down to fill our garden structure. I am eager already for next season, when I will experiment again with varieties strange to me and surely be amazed anew.

Learning with Leaves
by Dianne Wilton
Autumn! Each year we're in awe of the brilliance of nature, no matter how many times we experience this colorful transformation from green to deep red, vibrant orange and dazzling gold. The motivation for learning is just outside our door, welcoming our whole family to explore and discover. Here are some ideas to extend our experiences and to keep learning meaningful and fun as we play in the leaves.
- Collect autumn leaves.
This treasure hunt is a special experience for everyone from toddler to grandparents. It's the shared discovery and organization of leaves of different colors, shapes, and sizes, leaves with serrated or smooth edges, and leaves with deeply indented or gently curved borders. Your youngest child may decide to group the leaves by color or shape on large posters while his sister arranges them in banners to show vein patterns and grandpa lays them out on his cardtable according to edge details. Respecting everyone's category choices allows us to appreciate and to become even more aware of fine details and differences and to see the leaves from new perspectives.
- Make a cooperative leaf reference booklet.
Everyone can contribute to a selection of leaves to press overnight between several layers of newspaper under a heavy book. Then, tape or glue each leaf onto its own sheet of heavy paper. Compare your leaves with an identification guide (internet of library research), and have the artist of the family label them. The pages can be protected with plastic wrap or laminate or clear mactac, and bound together with punched holes and bark strips or twine. Your leaf reference booklet will be a permanent resource for your family's library and can be extended as more leaves are identified.
- Enjoy sensory walks, becoming attuned to the sounds, textures, and smells of the leaves of autumn.
Savor the "crunch" or "crackle" of dried leaves underfoot, the "whistle" as the wind whips through, the "rustle" of a chipmunk scurrying through the raked-up pile. Blindfold yourself and hold hands with a friend, experiencing the dry brittle leaves, the jagged or smooth edges, the fragility of the leaf blade compared to the hard firmness of the raised veins. Smell the mould of damp leaves, the tang of evergreen needles, the pungency of the wet earth in the garden. Collect your sensory words on separate file cards for an ongoing word bank, a wonderful source for creative poem writing or descriptive stories.
- Compare the vein patterns of different leaves.
Recreate their designs by placing a light sheet of paper over the leaves, rubbing the surface lightly with a wax crayon. This is a perfect opportunity to study the water and nutrition pathways in leaves and plants. You can simulate this action by placing a freshly cut stalk of celery in a glass of colored water to show how water moves up the plant to nourish each leaf through its vein structure.
- Enjoy the art of stained glass.
Arrange your favorite leaf shapes on a sheet of wax paper and sprinkle crayon shavings (shred with a scissor blade or an old grater) around the leaf. Place another piece of wax paper over this, cover with a cloth and iron it. The wax will melt to create a beautiful stained glass panel. Your children may want to make an even more interesting display by cutting the panel into a leaf shape after it has cooled, then hanging it in front of a window to let the sun shine through the colors. Older children may want to research the molecular movement of melting, changing from a solid to a liquid, as they add heat to the wax.
- Leaf Math.
Young children will enjoy playing with these colorful "manipulatives" while they count, match, arrange by size or add or subtract. They can graph the leaf types or work with symmetry. Older children love to work with big numbers and they will be big with their estimations of the number of leaves they raked that morning (taking time to count the leaves in one wheelbarrow) or how many leaves are on the entire tree, counting the number on one branch outside their bedroom window.
- Compose rhythmic rhymes as you rake leaves together.
Piggy-back onto favorite nursery rhymes or songs, creating your own autumn poems. From "Mary Had a Little Lamb", your song might become "Autumn leaves are falling down, falling....." Not only will the raking be easier, your children will be learning about rhyme and rhythm and having fun with poetry.
- Fall into fall as you delve into the dictionary, searching for homographs that are pronounced the same and are spelled the same but have different meanings.
"Fall" and "leaves" will give them a start. Taking turns, use one meaning of the word in a sentence and challenge the rest of your family to use that word in a whole new way. Enthusiastic word players may also want to search for homonyms, words that sound the same, have a different meaning, and are spelled differently. (currant, current; beech, beach; vein, vain) Your children may want to create illustrated banners or mini-booklets or develop their own games as they play with words.
- Spelling opportunity pops up in leaves, too, as we gather words that form their plurals by changing the "f" to "v" before adding "es".
Your family will have fun making the longest list they can -----leaf, wolf, calf.... It's fun to write your words on leaf shapes to build a huge leafy tree for your door. Some of you may even want a branch with exceptions to the rule!
- From earth to earth.
Nobody fertilizes a forest---fallen leaves feed the soil. You can encourage your family to do the same. Rake up small leaves right onto your garden and run the mower over larger leaves to shred them before spreading. Rake the leaves about 10cm. deep, leaving space around plant stems and trees. Most of your leaves will become soil by spring, just as nature intended.
Your child will come up with more leaf ideas---from mosaics to math. Have fun as you experience and extend the delights of autumn with renewed exhilaration and lots of learning. Enjoy expressing your new ideas, inspired by the description of author Albert Camus, "Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."
